
An Explanation of H) Insurances Policies
HO-00 – fire only; specified risk; highly unusual
HO-01 – named peril policy; doesn’t cover personal property
HO-02 – named peril policy; this one is a little broader than HO-01 policy; might be actual cash value policy; doesn’t cover personal property
HO-03 – all risk policy covering both real and personal property; dominant form
HO-04 – renter’s insurance
HO-05 – all risk policy with coverage for personal property; expands HO-03 coverage and has higher limit for jewelry items and business personal property
HO-06 – special form for condominium; personal property and things permanently attached to the condominium are covered if condo association’s policy doesn’t cover it
HO-07 – mobile home policy
HO-08 – special policies for very old homes whose market value is very low compared to the cost of reconstruction because materials used for construction are no longer available
